Unity over division. Love over hate.

A community mobilization plan to combat hate

Charlottesville woke us all up. The violence demonstrated shook us to the core. And when, a week after the violence in Charlottesville, Laguna Beach was announced as one of ten cities across the country where the hate groups would demonstrate next. Instead of confronting them at their rally, we've come together ahead of their arrival to show our unity. Ever since the yellow ribbon welcomed soldiers home, ribbons have been a symbol of welcome. Unity Ribbons welcome all - and we decorated our town with them.

The ribbons wrapped around trees, lamp posts, signs - anywhere and everywhere. Unity Ribbons can be any color, any size. That's the beauty in unity.

You Can Get Involved

This site is a tool kit for your community to stand up to hate. Local law enforcement strongly urges us not to attend or counter protest hate rallies. Instead, surround them with Unity Ribbons. With these simple, colorful ribbons, you send a clear message: Hate is not welcome here.
